Ingersoll Rand has developed a universal hook, featuring a sensitive control handle, for its Intelift pneumatic balancers. The hook has the special advantage of being fully “plug and play”: users can install it in just a few minutes, whatever the type of load or the gripping tool used. The universal hook is especially well suited for all repetitive tasks involving handling of loads of up to 230 kg in industrial environments.

BOUYER MANUTENTION, a member of the VERLINDE EUROPONT network, was selected to install and put into service the handling systems in the maintenance centre for the Le Mans tramway (France). The special safety systems proposed by BOUYER MANUTENTION, combined with the reliability of the EUROPONT overhead cranes, made all the difference.
E5LM, produced in Germany at NEUSS, is the most powerful automotive fuel pump in serial production in the world. It equips the Bugatti Veyron, the most powerful commercial car available on the market. The renowned advantages of TI Automotive screw pumps E3L, high power and very low noise levels, are now coupled with the advantages of electronic monitoring such as improved fuel economy, doubled durability, even lower noise and lower current consumption. E5LM is an optimum solution for all high and medium power cars. It is TI AUTOMOTIVE’s first fuel screw pump to use electronics monitoring in place of brushes pump.

Biogas is a green energy calling on more and more leading edge technical installations. Undoubtedly, the produced kW cost is not yet a competitor against nuclear or fossil fuel energies, but the systems installed are more and more efficient, and their financial profitability is increasing. In this field, Germany has built itself a world-leading position. Germany built 820 systems in 2006, increasing the total installed production units to 3700 and is now the No.1 world biogas based energy producer, and also the technological leader. CIAT plays a major role in this country, with approximately a 35% share of the market and has acquired significant know how in gas treatment, enabling it to propose systems adapted to ever widening scopes of application. This forward looking concept has brought about specific developments in this field. Two installations produced with the German partners of CIAT, SEVA AG and SILOXA AG, perfectly illustrate this progress.
Ingersoll Rand, known for its world-class pneumatic ratchets, now delivers the first cordless ratchets available on the European market with the release of the R140 1/4" mini, R145 3/8" mini, R380 3/8" standard class and R385 1/2" standard class.

The ERG Group, a world leader in the development and supply of integrated fare management and software systems for the transit industry, have chosen Westermo Ethernet switches to equip approximately 2500 buses operating in the Central Puget Sound Region of Washington State, around the city of Seattle. The new fare collection system provided by ERG will collect upwards of $250 million in annual passenger revenues from approximately 130 million passenger journeys per year. Low operating voltage and high reliability were the main criteria in the selection of the Westermo Ethernet switches.
